We are thrilled to announce that World Impact Development Foundation (WIDEF), along with 20 other civil society organizations, has been selected to participate in the Civic Space Resource Hub Cohort 2, Nigeria. Hosted by the West Africa Civil Society Forum and funded by the Ford Foundation, this program aims to enhance the capacities of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Nigeria.
The Civic Space Resource Hub was established with the goal of strengthening the capabilities of CSOs. Over the course of the training, participants delved into important topics such as Civic Space Protection & Regulatory Compliance, Organizational Leadership and Corporate Governance, as well as Resource Mobilization and Financial Resilience.
For WIDEF, this program has been invaluable. It has not only broadened our understanding of regulatory compliance and financial resilience but has also equipped our staff with essential skills in building a sustainable organization. Moreover, it has empowered us to actively contribute to safeguarding and expanding the civic space in Nigeria.
We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program and look forward to applying our new found knowledge to further our mission of driving sustainable development through strategic policy advocacy, grassroots initiatives, and innovative programs that foster peace and security, economic prosperity, good governance, and human rights in Nigeria.
